Scrapbook challenge

Well this is definitely a record for me.....I never post twice in  week and yet here I am, two posts in one day.
The following layouts are for the Scrapbook Sisters layout challenge

The first is a momento from my trip to Berlin, my first trip back in about 20 years.  The background flag consists of Bazzill strips to which I added various tickets from my trip and finished with various travel ribbons, brads and embellishments.

The second was an introduction page for my Come Dine with Me album.  I used papers from my My Minds Eye paper pad from a Limited Edition class.  The photos were mounted on white Bazzill with a punched EK Success bubble border punch.  The black border is K & Co from a previous class, and the letters were Papermania and American Crafts.
I'm finding too that song titles are becoming a good source of inspiration for scrapping titles.

Autumn Leaves

This is a card I made using my Tim Holtz Sissix leave die.  The necklace and earrings are cut from shrink plastic and coloured using distress inks.  The leaves on the card are cut from the same die and then embossed in a T.H. embossing folder and distressed with the same inks.  The lettering is also a T.H. die called Marketplace.  The backing paper is Sandylion from my stash.

I would like to enter this in the following Challenges:-

Alter it monthly - September...Tree, Leaf, Branch, Twig

card making

I have been busy the last week making cards (something I haven't done for quite a while).  The main reason to enter in a magazine competition.  I have always looked but never really had the time with working full-time. This year however, having been made redundant at Easter, I didn't really have an excuse to have a go....and as they say nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I have managed to make cards for 8 out of the 20 categories....these will be packaged up and posted in the morning.  If there are any late bursts of inspiration, they will have to follow on afterwards.
The card I have made for the Lili of the Valley category fits in the Scrapbook Sisters challenge for this week.

Wall Mural

I'm normally used to working on a 12 by 12" page but while Adam was away this jumped in size to a 10 by 8 ft wall.  As my middle son has moved in with his dad now, Adam has moved into his bedroom.  While he spent time with my parents in Somerset it was the ideal time for me to decorate the bedroom ready for his return.
So after papering with heavy lining paper I drew out and then painted a Scooby-Doo mural for him.

As I was unable to get any Scooby-Doo borders I created my own using my Eclipse cutter and a Martha Stewart fence border punch.
